Heidi has been a little in the wars of late. She had a lame front leg for a week, sometimes this just happens when she has ran while cold/stiff or perhaps she jumped out of the car boot in a funny way. Anyway, we kept her from running and it is pretty much back to normal. Last week she was sick in the early hours, bringing up bile along with quite a large stone. Two days later, the same but with a smaller stone (jagged), and two days later, bile in the morning again along with another jagged bit. She also developed quite a large lump on her back hip a few days ago.
We took her to the vet today to get checked out and they said that dogs can carry stones around in their stomach and they will bring them up in their own time - if she is eating and toileting fine, she is likely ok. The vet stuck a needle into the lump and said that it is likely from a knock. Heidi is pretty much skin and bone and so any lump is going to show. We'll keep an eye on it though.
And on other things - she is 10 years old now!
