Martingale Collar from Slouching Hound

Heidi got this handmade greyhound collar from Slouching Hound about 8 months ago and it's still going strong. It has been through the washing machine many a time too. They stock such a lovely variety of colours, patterns and designs. This is a 1.5" width. This collar has proved to be hardwearing, practical, and still beautiful.

The Martingale collar is designed with an extra piece that causes the collar to tighten gently when the dog pulls and then loosen again. This is ideal for sighthounds who tend to have a head smaller than their neck, where they can easily slip out of their collar.

We haven't tried her with anything different, and she has infact slipped this collar before, but that was a one-off (here's hoping) when another dog jumped on her, but this works well overall. She doesn't pull, but if she does take an over-interest in a cat she will pull a little and the collar deters this.
