So I have got around to looking up Heidi's ear tattoos online, and I have found out she was born in 2005, which makes her two years older than the rescue's estimate. So, she is nine!
Irish dogs have tattoos in both ears, two letters in the right, and three in the left. The first letter, which is D, is the year of whelp, which turns out to be 2005.
